Melting point

2018. Beeswax, heat light, installation.

A life-size beeswax phone cast from a handmade clay model that slowly melts. This durational performative object speaks of loss of communication and the volatile material represents a relationship and emotional state of mind. It is about the one point where things start to fall apart and turn into something that you no longer recognize. It is a one-way process, it cannot return to the way it was.
